Berenice Abbott

Born in Ohio, Berenice Abbott moves to Paris in 1921, where she studied sculpture and becomes a successful portraitist. She later became friends with Man Ray and worked in his studio until she opened her own in 1926. In 1929 she returned to New York, opens a portrait studio, and starts photographing the city of New York showing her most famous work.
